Information collected

Crossword Scanner servers collect no information from users that act anonymously without leveraging the collaboration capabilities of the system.

The following information is gathered from users that register and benefit from the additional functionality this adds:

1. Email address
2. Unique Device IDentifier (UDID)
3. User activity
4. Any token or user-identifier information from third party Single Sign On providers
5. Date and time

Crossword Scanner associates this data with the email addresses used as user identities.

Use of collected information

1. Email address used as user identifier when sharing crosswords between participants.
2. Unique Device IDentifier (UDID) is used to differentiate what is available on the different devices of a single user.
3. User activity in the system such as invites having been sent and words entered into a crossword are functional requirements for Crossword Scanner capabilities.
4. Any token or user-identifier information from third party Single Sign On providers are used to simplify logon procedures.
5. Date and time is used in synchronising state between collaborating users.

Disclosure to third parties

Crossword Scanner will not disclose, without your consent, personal information collected about you, except for certain explicit circumstances in which disclosure is required by law.

Crossword Scanner will not distribute or sell personal information to third-party organizations.
